اصل و پایه عقل پس از ایمان به خداوند متعال، مهرورزی و محبت کردن با مردم است.

امام صادق (ع)

After faith in God, the principle and basis of wisdom are kindness and sympathy on people.

برترین صدقات اصلاح میان مردم است.

Reconciliation between people is the best alms.

بهترین ثروت آن است که آبرو بدان نگهداری و حفظ شود.

The best wealth is what protects the honor.

بهترین کارها سه چیز است: تواضع به هنگام دولت، عفو به هنگام قدرت و بخشش بدون منت.
پیامبر اکرم (ص)

The best acts are three: humility on wealth time, forgiveness on power time and generosity without obligation.

هیچ کس از مشورت بدبخت نشد و از خودرأیی خوشبخت نشد.

No one became miserable on consultation and no one became prosperous on self-consultation.

Amir al-Muminin, peace be upon him, said:

امیرالمومنین (ع) فرمود:

Generosity is that which is by one's own initiative, because giving on being asked is either out of self-respect or to avoid rebuke.

سخاوت آن است که تو آغاز کنی، زیرا آنچه با درخواست داده شود یا از روی شرم، و یا از بیم سخن ناپسند شنیدن است

There is no wealth like wisdom, no destitution like ignorance, no inheritance like refinement and no support like consultation.

هیچ بی‌نیازی چون عقل، و هیچ فقری چون نادانی نیست، هیچ ارثی چون ادب، و هیچ پشتیبانی چون مشورت نیست

Patience is of two kinds, patience over what pains you, and patience against what you covet.

شکیبایی دو گونه است، شکیبایی بر آنچه خوش نمیداری و شکیبایی از آن چه دوست می ‌داری

With wealth a strange land is homeland, while with destitution even homeland is a strange land.

بی‌نیازی در غربت، چون در وطن بودن و تهیدستی در وطن غربت است

Contentment is wealth that does not diminish.

قناعت ثروتی است که پایان نمی‌پذیرد
